Shadowlands Season 4: The World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Season 4 release date signifies the conclusion of one of the MMO’s most troublesome expansions. It’s also a bit of an odd one, as Blizzard is focusing on experimenting.
This makes the fourth season of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands somewhat unexpected. The majority of the new content is focused on reviving dungeons and raids from previous updates and expansions and making them relevant once more.

Shadowlands Season 4 Release Date
Season 4 of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will launch the week of August 2, commencing as soon as the weekly reset happens in your zone. This makes the third season shorter, prompting the developer to reduce the difficulty of raid encounters, as fewer guilds than normal obtained the Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge awards. They will no longer be available for the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid upon the release of Season 4.

Date of release for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Season 4: August 2 (NA)/August 3 (EU) Regarding Season 4 of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, you may anticipate a distinct pool of Mythic+ dungeons.
We will explore the MMORPG’s three megadungeons (divided into two independent wings each) as well as two community-selected Warlords of Draenor dungeons, as opposed to just repeating the current expansion’s dungeons with a new suffix.
Old dungeons will join the Mythic+ poolÂ
A new season for Mythic+ dungeons requires learning and adapting to a new seasonal affix. With Season 4 of Shadowlands, however, the accessible dungeons will comprise instances from the previous four expansions, dating back to Warlords of Draenor.
Six of the dungeons were previously disclosed, with the last two Dungeons of the Dark Portal up for voting (opens in new tab). As the voting has officially concluded, it appears that the following dungeons will be featured in Season 4 of Shadowlands:
- Tazavesh: Marvelous Streets (Shadowlands)
- The Tazavesh of So’leah (Shadowlands)
- Operation Mechagon: Scrapheap (Battle for Azeroth)
- Workshop for Mission Mechagon (Battle for Azeroth)
- Lower to return to Karazhan (Legion)
- Return to Karazhan: Upper (Legion)
- Grimrail Depot (Warlords of Draenor)
- Steel Docks (Warlords of Draenor)

Older Shadowlands raids will be relevant againÂ
Blizzard is considering “adding a progenitor-themed affix system to inject fresh mechanical twists” into the early Shadowlands raids, Castle Nathria and Sanctum of Domination, according to a post(opens in new tab).
It is unclear how these suffixes will be implemented. During an interview with Athalus of Warcraft Radio, Morgan Day, assistant game director for World of Warcraft, indicated that several difficulties are being considered for both previous raids. It is therefore reasonable to expect that this will not be done in the same manner as timewalking raids and dungeons. The potential of obtaining useful stuff from raids that most players neglect now that Sepulcher of the First Ones has arrived is an intriguing turn of events for Season 4.
