Release Date for Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War and Voice Cast Announced

The release date and team behind the new Bleach anime, Thousand-Year Blood War, have been made public in a new teaser.

A new teaser trailer for the upcoming second Bleach anime confirms its release date and provides a brief synopsis of Thousand-Year Blood War.

On Saturday, December 1st during the Jump Festa 2022 events, the first trailer for the new anime arc was revealed.

Ichigo Kurosaki, who became an Acting Shinigami after gaining the ability to be a Shinigami through a chance encounter, is the main character of The Thousand-Year Blood War. He is embroiled in the turmoil of the Soul Society, a place where the souls of people who have died in this world gather, and he has grown up with his friends through bloody battles.

In Karakura-Cho, where Ichigo resides, a fresh Shinigami and a fresh adversary emerge. And help is being requested by voices. Ichigo grabs his zanpakuto once more and heads toward the battleground. In the meantime, the inhabitants of Ryutonmachi, where the souls who have been carried here reside, vanish, and it is seen in the Corpse Realm that hollows in this realm are disappearing abruptly and continuously.

According to the PV teaser posted by AnimeJapan, the Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War anime adaptation will air in October 2022 as part of the next Fall broadcast schedule.

Although the actual release date has sadly not been disclosed, fans may expect the anime to debut within the first two weeks of October 2022. Even if the first two episodes will be made available for advanced viewing in September, more details should be revealed.

The new anime arc’s episode count has also not been made public; prior seasons ran from 16 to 51 episodes, with the exception of season 11, which had just seven.

Anime News Network creator Tite Kubo also shared a personal observation during a recent Livestream at AnimeExpo, saying that fans can anticipate modern colors and a novel watching experience with the new anime.

Kubo claimed to be deeply involved in every facet of the animation. If it’s possible, he wants to repurpose some manga scenes for the anime.

With all 15 seasons of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War already available on the platform, Crunchyroll is anticipated to be the show’s global streaming partner.

Who Are the Voice Cast and Production Team?

The Thousand-Year Blood War anime arc for Bleach will be directed by the seasoned anime director Tomohisa Taguchi, who has previously worked on the Persona 5 and Kinos Journey series.

The main animators are Michio Hasegawa, Sey Komatsubara, and Kimiko Takayanagi, with Masashi Kudo and Shiro Sagisu leading the musical composition.

Studio Pierrot will provide the animated series’ prior seasons of Bleach (Black Clover, Boruto: Naruto Net Generations, Tokyo Ghoul, and Kingdom).
