This week, the New York and Los Angeles premieres of the documentary The Return of Tanya Tucker! Country music fans may attend a concert honoring the Texan singer at nearby theaters.
The official trailer was published last month by Sony Pictures Classics. It examines the star of country music’s legacy and her impact on the field. The Grammy Award-winning musician Brandi Carlile is featured in the documentary; she created an album just for Tucker in an effort to preserve her legacy.
The documentary follows Tucker’s unusual life, from early memories through her career success as a singer. The movie has gotten favorable reviews thus far and is now rated 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes by critics.
