Expedition Bigfoot season 4: An elite team of experts on Sasquatch goes into the rough Oregon woods to look for Bigfoot. The three-week mission, which is based on research and knowledge, could make the elusive beast come out of stories and into the real world.
People may remember 2020 as the year when the world turned upside down. But for the people working on the Travel Channel show “Expedition Bigfoot,” it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance when three important pieces of information came together at the same time. This brought them one step closer to finding proof of the famous but elusive creature.
The “Expedition Bigfoot” team has gotten back together for a new one-hour special that will air on Sunday, January 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. They will look at their findings from last season and change the algorithm to account for the rise in Bigfoot sightings this year. The team then got right to work on Season 2, which starts tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Using smart data, scientists have found a 75,000-acre patch of Appalachian forest in southeast Kentucky where the chances of seeing Bigfoot are much higher during a certain 21-day window. With limited time and money, the team, which includes Bryce Johnson (operations),
Dr. Mireya Mayor (primatologist), Russell Acord (ex-military/survivalist), and Ronny LeBlanc (Bigfoot researcher), has narrowed in on possible new targets. And this year, their research has shown something new: likely migration patterns for Bigfoot, which could show when and where the mythical creatures will show up.
During their two-month expedition, the crew uses the most cutting-edge tools to narrow their search to the chosen target zones. As research goes on, more and more proof of Bigfoot’s existence comes to light, including sounds, strange structures, DNA samples, and huge 16-inch footprints that could not have been made by a person. One of the biggest mysteries in the world could be solved by this scientific expedition. In the new season, there are 12 new one-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
“The team is really involved in solving this famous riddle using science, technology, and true grit, and it’s a wild and exciting journey,” said Matthew Butler, the general manager of Travel Channel. “They’re getting closer and closer to the legendary monster that is also the world champion of being socially aloof.”
