American Pickers Controversy: Frank Fritz is coping with new difficulties following his termination from American Pickers

Frank Fritz, a former American Pickers star, is reportedly having additional problems.

More than six months have passed since Frank Fritz was let go from American Pickers, the History program that had made him famous and provided a significant portion of his income since the program’s debut in 2010. Fritz has admitted to going to treatment and working on himself, but it appears that he is having problems on other fronts as well, particularly with regard to taxes.

The most recent information on Frank Fritz is being released during tax season, and according to a new source, the former TV personality has been having trouble making up delinquent taxes on his Iowa farmhouse. According to official data obtained by The Sun, the well-known TV personality first missed a tax deadline in September 2021 before missing a second date in March 2022. Frank Fritz is said to owe a total of $5,038 in unpaid property taxes.

According to sources, he reportedly owes $3,402 on a home he purchased for $130,000 in Scott County, Iowa, back in 2010. He also owes $1,636 more for a nearby property he purchased in 2013. Although a little over $5,000 may not seem like much for someone who worked in television for roughly ten years, it is just one report among numerous issues the former History channel presenter has encountered recently.

Frank Fritz’s Personal Issues Apparenty Affected His Exit From American Pickers

It should be noted that Frank Fritz was the one who first decided to leave American Pickers while it was still in production, citing the need for time to recover from a back operation. He initially seemed to believe he would return to the show, but the series continued without him while he was away. Initial reports suggested that it was just a creative choice because the show continued to film without Frank. The surviving Pickers cast members did, however, start to talk more about what transpired as the news spread online.

Danielle Colby, a star of another television program, claimed that when it came to Frank, viewers were not given the complete picture. She described how Fritz “created so much misery for himself” over a long period of time in a post, indicating that the actions had been occurring for “years.” Additionally, Mike Wolfe has stated that there are explanations for why Fritz was fired from the series despite first taking a leave of absence on his own. Since then, Wolfe’s brother Robbie has joined the show as a sidekick, although American Pickers has had trouble with the numbers.

After being fired from his History Channel show, Frank Fritz talks about his personal financial struggles

Frank Fritz acknowledged attending rehab, mentioned having money problems at the time, and mentioned spending 77 days in a sober living home. Fritz also discussed a relationship that he claims ended badly because of adultery during that time. The broken romance had cost him a lot of money, he had previously disclosed to The Sun, adding to his other financial troubles:

“I was going to get married, I bought a house and a big expensive ring, and then I find out my fiancée had been dating somebody else for two and a half years. She’s the cheater, that’s why I got a tattoo saying ‘Once a cheater always a cheater.’ I got the tattoo two years ago just to remind myself not to make the same mistake again. She cost me six figures.”

These allegations were refuted by his ex in the same interview, but they do provide light on previous comments the reality star has made regarding money. Frank Fritz has also pitched his own TV show, but in the months afterwards, there hasn’t been much activity on that front.
