Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr., often known as Tee Grizzley, is an American rapper and streamer best known for his hits “First Day Out,” “No Effort,” “Colors,” and “From the D to the A.” Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr. was born on March 23, 1994. (featuring Lil Yachty).

Grizzley debuted single “First Day Out” on YouTube in October 2016, following his release from prison. In less than three weeks, the song received over two million views, which prompted Grizzley to ink a record deal with 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records in 2017.

Grizzley released his debut studio album, Activated, in 2018, following the release of multiple mixtapes and singles during 2017. The album peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200.

Wallace was born on March 23, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan. Because his parents were continually going in and out of prison, Wallace was raised by his grandmother in the Joy Rd. & Southfield neighborhood.

He started listening to rap music in middle school and eventually started the band All Stars Ball Hard with three of his pals, JR, Po, and Lee. Wallace adopted the stage name ASBH Tee, and they started posting their music to YouTube. His mother received a 20-year prison term in 2011 for narcotics trafficking. 2012 saw the murder of his father.

In February 2014, Wallace and a friend started to break into other students’ dorm rooms and stole $20,000 worth of electronics and cash from other students. Wallace was the first member of his family to attend college in generations and attended Michigan State University to study finance and accounting. Wallace and Jeremy Ford were apprehended on February 27 but released pending further investigation.

Wallace fled to Kentucky and was one of three people who were apprehended on July 1, 2014, during an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in Lexington, Kentucky. Wallace was given a nine-month term for the heist, and in September 2015, while still serving that sentence, he was given an additional sentence of 18 months to 15 years for the crimes at Michigan State. He was released from jail in Michigan on October 16, 2016.

His mixtape My Moment was nominated for Best Mixtape and Best New Hip-Hop Artist at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards.

His car was shot at in Detroit, Michigan, on August 20, 2019. Jobina Brown, his aunt and manager, was 41 when she died in the incident. He and the driver escaped the collision unscathed. To honor Brown’s passing, Grizzley released his song “Satish” on September 20, 2019, along with a music video.
