In February of 1974, Barr tied the knot with Bill Pentland, a hotel employee she’d met in Colorado. Jennifer, Jessica, and Jake were their offspring. In the early 1990s, Pentland and Barr split up.

Barr and Tom Arnold tied the knot on January 20, 1990, four days later. During their union, she went by the name Roseanne Arnold. When Barr was performing stand-up comedy in Minneapolis in 1983, Arnold was the opening act. Barr petitioned for dissolution of marriage to Tom Arnold on April 18th, 1994.

Before a 1990 baseball game between the San Diego Padres and the Cincinnati Reds in San Diego, Barr sang a version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” that was heavily criticized.
