Keenan created his own winery and cellars in an unincorporated region southwest of Sedona, Arizona, where he resides, as a member of an Italian winemaking family. He is a partner of Stronghold Vineyards, an 80-acre facility also in Arizona, and the proprietor of Merkin Vineyards, Caduceus Cellars, and Caduceus Winery. Keenan was profiled in the 2010 film “Blood into Wine: The Arizona Stronghold” about the Northern Arizona wine industry as a result of this event.

Keenan appeared in a number of episodes of the sketch comedy series “Mr. Show” as an actor.
