All eight episodes of Season 2 of Bling Empire, as well as the season finale, are now online. A television season’s finale usually leaves viewers with a sense of, well, finality. Season 2 of Bling Empire left viewers with more questions than answers as the drama among the wealthiest Asian and Asian-American socialites in Los Angeles came to a close. Fans will have to wait until Season 3 of Bling Empire to get answers to their burning Bling Empire questions.
Season 2 of Bling Empire ended on the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. After a full season of Christine Chiu and Anna Shay sustaining their hostility from Season 1, they came to an abrupt halt. As they sat across from one another discussing their issues, they came to the conclusion that Kane Lim had caused the majority of their troubles by spreading rumors.
At the end of the second season, Christine and Anna resolved to confront Kane as a team. If that wasn’t enough to entice viewers to return for Season 3, there was one more surprise towards the end of the season. Andrew Gray, Kelly Mi Li’s ex-boyfriend, turned up suddenly at Anna’s door, prompting fans to wonder about the importance of his visit.
Season 3 of ‘Bling Empire’: When Will It Be Released?
Unfortunately, no information is available because the release date for the third season of Bling Empire has not yet been confirmed. However, the sequel was released less than a year after it was announced, so here’s hope for a summer 2023 release date.
The popular Netflix drama’s second season ended with multiple cliffhangers, including the truth of whether Jessey Lee had an affair with Cherie Chan at the start of their relationship, Kim Lee and Kevin Kreider’s budding romance, and Wang’s massive relocation to New York City.
“Many friendships are broken,” Wang says, adding that the third season will “most likely” premiere “near the end of the summer.”
In answer to a fan’s question on when Season 3 will broadcast, Lee, 33, who has been on the show since its first season, appeared to corroborate this timeframe by saying “very soon” on Instagram.
The Lawsuit Against the Bling Empire:
Despite its success, the series’ future is uncertain, as ongoing upheaval may hinder the creation of additional seasons. Kelly Mi Li, one of the show’s stars, accused executive producer Jeff Jenkins of stealing her idea for Bling Empire in late April, according to People. Li claims in the complaint that she approached Jenkins in 2018 about her idea for a reality show about rich Asian Americans in Los Angeles. Jenkins was deafeningly silent in response to the story.
According to People, Li also stated that she and Jenkins worked closely for months on Bling Empire, which “led to the successful selling of the” program. Jenkins and his production company, she claims, “acquired and exploited Plaintiff Li’s idea and materials, as well as participated in binding contracts.” For Bling Empire, Li wants to be recognized, compensated, and treated like an executive producer.
The kind of turbulence that could lead to a rift between the actors, crew, and production is probably not what the streaming service is looking for. In an ideal world, all creative parties’ needs will be met, and Netflix will be able to focus on on-screen drama rather than behind-the-scenes squabbles. Fans will have to wait and watch how the case unfolds, as well as whether it has any implications for Season 3.
What will happen in Season 3 of Bling Empire?
Beginning with Kevin and Kim’s on-again, off-again romance, the third season offers a lot to digest.
Kevin found himself on shaky ground after chasing her during the second season, fearful that the party girl would jeopardize his almost six-year sobriety. Kim couldn’t get over her distrust of Kevin, so she had him through a lie detector test.
Then there’s Kane, whose proclivity for gossip has landed him in hot water with not only Kevin but also Anna and Christine throughout the season.
Kane then informed Anna about Christine’s claims that Anna was planning to ‘terminate’ her. Despite the fact that it initially aggravated an already strained relationship, Anna eventually listened to Christine and understood that she was merely expressing her fears in an already vulnerable situation.
Drew, Kelly’s poisoned ex-boyfriend from the previous season, reappeared just as they were going to confront Kane together and put an end to the matter for good, ruining Anna’s day.
