Clyde Jennings, Jr., a US Army officer and Martha Mitchell were married at the time. Their son, Clyde Jay Jennings, was born to them. In August 1957, Martha Mitchell and Clyde were divorced. What Happened to Martha Mitchell’s Daughter?
John N. Mitchell, the first and only attorney general of the United States to serve time in jail, had a daughter with Martha. (Martha’s first marriage to Clyde Jennings produced an elder son named Clyde Jay Jenning.)
In 1973, the same year the United States Senate Watergate Committee was established, Martha and Mitchell made their separation public. The 15-year marriage was destroyed by their radically divergent temperaments and responses to the Watergate burglary. Marty, Martha’s sole child, was born on January 10, 1961. Soon after her breakup with Mitchell, Martha relocated outside of Washington, D.C.
However, Marty, her daughter, seems to have sided with her father. About the same time as the divorce process came to an end, Mitchell received custody of his daughter. Before earning a job at Dean & Associates, Marty reportedly attended Georgetown University and the Stone Ridge Country Day School in Bethesda, Maryland.
The Cinemaholic quoted an old New York Times report that said Marty was engaged to be married to Paul Savidge. She appears to possess a marriage license that was issued in March 1989. At this time, neither of these claims could be verified.
