Tom Cruise supports his “great friend” Lewis Hamilton while celebrating his 60th birthday at the British F1 Grand Prix

Tom Cruise is celebrating his significant birthday in a dignified manner!

The actor from Top Gun attended the British F1 Grand Prix on Sunday to honor his 60th birthday. The actor was seen meeting fans and shaking hands with other VIP attendees while grinning widely.

Cruise dressed casually for the special outing, donning a light blue polo shirt, his trademark aviator sunglasses, and dark pants.

Lewis Hamilton, Gordon Ramsay, and Geri Halliwell were a few more well-known attendees.

When reviewing the race on Sunday with Martin Brundle for Sky Sports, Cruise did not hold back from expressing his support for the British F1 champion.

Lewis constantly, he said. “He is one of my closest friends. I wish him a wonderful day.”

Cruise went to see Adele perform at the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival in London on Friday before his birthday weekend. This weekend, Adele was also seen by Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, and the cast of Heartstopper.

According to Variety, Cruise’s latest movie, Top Gun: Maverick, surpassed the $1 billion mark at the box office around the world earlier this week. It was the first of Cruise’s movies to achieve the exceptional feat; Mission: Impossible – Fallout from 2018 came in second with $791.1 million in worldwide box office receipts.

Top Gun: Maverick is now ranked among the top 50 films of all time by box office receipts, unadjusted for inflation, according to Box Office Mojo’s calculations. Each of the top 5 movies on the list made over $2 billion. The most successful was 2009’s Avatar, which brought in $2.8 billion worldwide. This September, in anticipation of the sequel’s debut in December, it will receive a second release.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, which opens in theaters in July 2023, is Cruise’s upcoming film.
