Jimmy Goldstein, an NBA Superfan, Chose the Lakers-Clippers Game Over Lady Gaga

Jimmy Goldstein, a millionaire NBA superfan who has season tickets to both the Clippers and the Lakers, didn’t have to pick between watching either team on Thursday in the Clippers’ season opener.

He did, however, choose basketball at Crypto.com Arena over a Lady Gaga concert at his home. Goldstein was caught on tape telling Clippers player Paul George about his decisions.

Goldstein, a Milwaukee native who has been courtside at hundreds of NBA games, made the correct decision. While the source of his claimed $350 million fortune is unknown, he has become one of the league’s most recognizable fans throughout the years.

The decision paid well for Goldstein, who saw the Clippers win their first game of the season and the Lakers lose their second. The Clippers were paced by Paul George, who scored 15 points, and Kawhi Leonard, who scored 14 points off the bench. Six Clippers, including three bench players, scored in double digits on Thursday.
