Patti Scialfa Springsteen, the wife of Bruce Springsteen, announced over the weekend that they had become grandparents for the first time on Instagram.
Patti captioned the image of their son Sam and his partner in front of a stroller along with a close-up of their new grandchild, Lily Harper Springsteen, as “walking the baby.
Baby Lily is shown in the adorable shot donning a pink bonnet and two pink bear hand coverings.
Evan, Jessica, and Sam, who is 28 years old, are three of Bruce and Patti’s children; they were married in 1991.
According to CNN at the time, the young father and youngest kid of the couple was among 15 people sworn in by the mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, to the Jersey City Fire Department in January 2020.
At the moment, delighted father Bruce said of his son, “It was a long road, he was really dedicated for quite a few years and we are just excited for him today.
For the new grandfather, this summer has been exciting. The music superstar, 72, and his E Street Band unveiled 31 brand-new U.S. tour dates on Tuesday, beginning with a performance in Tampa, Florida, in February 2023.
The mammoth 2023 international tour was first announced by the “Thunder Road” singer and his band in May, and the newly added dates represent their first outing on the road as a group in six years.
Springsteen started a solo New York City concert residency called Springsteen on Broadway, which concluded last year after more than 200 performances. He has also released two new albums since his last tour, Western Stars in 2019 and A Letter To You in 2020.
His wife Patti, Nils Lofgren, Roy Bittan, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, along with Soozie Tyrell, Jake Clemons, and Charlie Giordano, make up the E Street Band.
